Nom Latin: Eucalyptus Radiata

Origine: South Africa

Eucalyptus radiata is a tree in the Myrtaceae family. It can reach heights of 30 to 50 m. Native to the plateaus of New South Wales in Australia and the coastal regions of Victoria, it has been introduced to Europe and flourishes in southern Europe. Its bark is fibrous, gray or blue-gray, peeling off in long ribbons, and its elongated (lanceolate) leaves are bright green.
Eucalyptus wood is used to make paper pulp and for joinery. It’s also a valuable essence in aromatherapy and phytotherapy, thanks to its 1-8 cineole and limonene content. Eucalyptus radiata leaves are used by aborigines to dress wounds and promote healing. Eucalyptus radiata essential oil is also particularly appreciated in times of winter discomfort, restoring energy and vitality.
