Native to Asia, and characteristic of the islands of the Indian Ocean, Ylang Ylang is a tree with green foliage composed of alternate leaves, topped with large, beautiful yellow flowers.
The flowers bloom all year round, peaking between December and April. Once picked, the flowers containing the precious essence are rapidly distilled to extract a high-quality essential oil and hydrosol. Ylang Ylang has the particularity of providing several essential oils, depending on the duration of distillation. Ylang ylang extra essential oil is the oil extracted after two hours of distillation. More fragrant and denser than full Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, it is chosen above all for its aromatic qualities.
