La Plante Walnut (Bud)

Nom Latin: Juglans regia

Famille: Juglandaceae

Partie de la plante: Bud

Origine: France

Jovis glans or Jupiter’s acorn is the Latin origin of Juglans, a gift to man from the Roman God of Gods. The walnut tree is thought to have originated in Persia, crossing Greece and Italy to reach France.

The wild walnut is a solitary tree that reigns supreme, growing to 20-30 m and living to 300 years. It provides a dense, cool shade that signals the presence of water. Light and warmth are also essential to its development: its buds are late and its leaves fall particularly early.

Anne-Laure and Bruno Weiler’s “Au cœur de soi, au cœur des arbres” offers an original approach to the walnut tree. Although it offers the observer a harmonious whole, it is a general balance of forms built on a very tortuous whole: trunk not completely straight, branches that change direction abruptly, lack of symmetry, as if the tree were looking for the best way to develop. The overall harmony is to be found in this flexibility and adaptability - “All paths are possible, but it is necessary to choose one at each new stage of existence”.

Pitera recommends walnut macerate for periods of mental confusion and “loss of the ability to make decisions in the face of change”. Let’s take advantage of walnut to “listen to the movement of life” and decide which direction to take.
