Découvrez notre Angelica Hydrolate (Root) 100% Organic and Handcrafted

Angelica (Angelica Archangelica), often called “angel’s herb” or “root of the Holy Spirit,” is a robust plant whose qualities have been appreciated for centuries. Native to cold regions of Europe, it is renowned for its unique character.

At Essenciagua, we carefully distill the fresh root of this plant, cultivated in France and certified organic, to obtain this hydrosol of rare delicacy.

This hydrosol can be used to delicately flavor your drinks or culinary preparations, bringing a subtle and comforting note. Its soft and enveloping fragrance is an invitation to serenity. It offers a soothing olfactory experience, conducive to a moment of calm and well-being, enveloping the senses in gentle tranquility.

Nom Latin: Angelica Archangelica

Partie de la plante: Root

Origine: France

Also known as Angelica or Holy Spirit Root, due to its longevity and certainly the vitality and serenity it is said to confer, Angelica is an imported plant of Nordic origin that has acclimatized well in France.

Extremely hardy, Angelica flourishes “feet in the water, head in the sun”. It is harvested in late summer and distilled in autumn.
In our latitudes, this plant is cultivated for confectionery. However, this perennial medicinal plant doesn’t keep its vitality just for itself. It confers it on those who know how to seek it out. To a certain extent, Angelica is for us the equivalent of ginseng in Asian countries.

Angelica is characterized by the presence of monoterpenes and coumarins. In aromatherapy and phytotherapy, a distinction is made between Angelica seed essence and Angelica root essence.
