Découvrez notre Hydrolat de Ciste 100% Bio et Artisanal

Essenciagua Cistus Hydrosol is derived from the Andalusian Cistus (Cistus Ladaniferum), a resilient shrub that thrives on the arid soils of the Mediterranean basin. Its leaves are renowned for secreting labdanum, an aromatic gum-resin whose rich aroma has been prized since antiquity, marking the history of perfumes and rituals. This hydrosol is carefully distilled in Spain.

Its fragrance is complex and deep, blending resinous, amber, and slightly woody notes, with an enveloping warmth. It offers a unique sensory experience, inviting a moment of comfort and serenity. For skin application, this hydrosol is valued for refreshing and toning the skin, contributing to a feeling of comfort and a harmonious complexion. It can be incorporated into your skincare routine for skin that appears revitalized.

Cistus is an evergreen shrub about 1 m high that grows in poor soils around the Mediterranean. Its leaves are covered with small oil glands from which a gum-resin, labdanum, is extracted. Highly fragrant, this gum was much sought-after in Antiquity and later in the Middle Ages for its perfume and soothing properties.
In fact, this essence has a wide range of properties that are highly beneficial to the skin. Cistus has antibacterial, healing and hemostatic properties.
