The Atlas Cedar is a conifer of the Pinaceae family, growing up to 40 meters tall. This tree, native to the mountains of Morocco and Algeria, grows at altitude and is often considered immortal because it is rot-proof. This characteristic is due to the presence of aromatic insect-repellent and fungicidal molecules that protect it. Historically, Atlas Cedar wood, which is easy to work, was used for shipbuilding, temples and palaces. Thanks in particular to its sesquiterpene content, Cedar is said to tone the body, and its use is recommended when natural defenses are particularly strained. It is generally used in the form of Essential Oil and Hydrolat extracted from Atlas Cedar. The latter has a very characteristic, gentle woody scent.
