At Essenciagua, we distill the bud of #Cassis, recognized for its many benefits and a leading anti-inflammatory phyto plant. The whole plant is aromatic. The leaf is used in phyto, but the bud, highly prized in gemmo, proves extremely valuable in its Aroma forms.

And every year, we seek out our blackcurrants grown by our organic growers precisely in these Grands Crus territories of Burgundy🍷, wine and blackcurrants true agricultural emblems of this region 🇫🇷.

Two forms obtained:
👉🏻 The hydrosol with a fragrance very faithful to the plant when crumpled. In this form, dispersed in the plant’s water, it contains #paracymene and #terpineol , two typically anti-inflammatory molecules.
👉🏻 The essential oil, so rare as to be overlooked in books, reveals a whole range of anti-inflammatory properties. Like #carene, which is very present, it is true that it hardens the fragrance of the oil, a fragrance that is much sought-after in perfumery. In aroma, then, it should be chosen first and foremost for its properties, before olfactory pleasure.

🌿 Very versatile in aromatherapy, essential oils are used internally to relieve rheumatism, inflammation and allergic symptoms. Externally, it can be massaged into joints, alone or in synergy with Roman chamomile, for example.

🌿 Hydrosol is great for flavoring food and beverages such as cocktails, kir and dairy products. Of course, you’ll want it for inflammatory conditions.
