Découvrez notre 100% Organic and Handcrafted Douglas Fir Hydrolat

The Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga), a majestic conifer, is now one of the most common firs in our regions, valued for the quality of its wood. This slender tree, which can reach impressive heights, evokes the tranquil strength of forests.

At Essenciagua, we carefully distill fresh Douglas fir needle branches, certified organic and sourced from our beautiful lands in Occitanie, France.

Its hydrosol offers a unique olfactory experience. It reveals a green and resinous fragrance, subtly tinged with fruity notes, reminiscent of apple or even passion fruit, creating a deep and enveloping atmosphere. Ideal for refreshing the atmosphere of your indoor spaces, it invites a sensory immersion into the heart of the forest, bringing a feeling of purity and well-being.

Nom Latin: Pseudotsuga

Partie de la plante: Needle Branch

Origine: France

A small tree 10 to 15 m tall, with a tortuous silhouette and evergreen leaves, Douglas fir is a conifer in the Pinaceae family. It is found mainly in New Caledonia, Madagascar and Australia. Its bark, made up of superimposed layers that crumble easily, is the source of its nickname “the skin tree”. In New Caledonia, it is said that it was customary to wrap a newborn child in these thin layers of bark for strength and protection.
