Nom Latin: Pinus Laricio

Partie de la plante: Needle Branch

Origine: France

The Laricio Pine, endemic to Corsica, is a tree with a straight, slender trunk that can reach 50m in height, belonging to the Pinaceae family. It is well adapted to the Mediterranean climate, where it tolerates summer drought, and grows anywhere between 800 and 1800m altitude.
The tree has been exploited since antiquity as a material for housing and ship masts. It is still used today for fine joinery. This tree with its fine, supple needles, from which essential oil is extracted, is known for its antiseptic properties. Laricio Pine hydrosol is particularly useful for winter ailments.
