Native to South Africa, the Geranium was imported to Europe in the early 17th century, mainly for ornamental purposes. Geranium rosat is a cultivar that was first grown in the Grasse region of Provence to extract a rose-like essential oil for use in perfumery.
Fearing frost, crops had to be renewed every year. Growers soon sought out milder climates and planted them in warmer regions such as Reunion. Our rose geranium is a quality native to Reunion Island, “Bourbon” meaning “of the islands”. With its rose-like fragrance, it is an essential oil much appreciated in cosmetics, particularly for anti-aging treatments. Thanks to their citronellol and geraniol content, Geranium essential oil and hydrosol are also known to repel mosquitoes.

J’adore cet hydrolat de géranium bourbon, que je mélange avec de l’hydrolat d’hélichryse. Je l’applique chaque matin en spray : il procure une agréable sensation de fraîcheur et de détente. Un vrai petit rituel bien-être que j’apprécie particulièrement au quotidien !

L’Idrolato di Geranio Rosato Bourbon Essenciagua è un idrolato molto piacevole, elegante e armonizzante. Ha un profumo floreale, verde e leggermente rosato, con una nota delicata che lo rende fresco ma anche avvolgente.

Lo uso volentieri nei momenti in cui desidero una sensazione di equilibrio e morbidezza, soprattutto sulla pelle del viso o del corpo. È delicato, non invadente, e lascia una percezione di cura naturale e di freschezza sottile.

Mi piace perché unisce bene la parte floreale alla parte più verde e aromatica del geranio: non risulta dolce in modo eccessivo, ma rimane raffinato, pulito e molto naturale.

Anche questo idrolato conferma la qualità artigianale di Essenciagua. È un prodotto puro, ben lavorato e davvero versatile, perfetto per la routine quotidiana e per piccoli gesti di benessere.

J'utilise l'hydrolat de Géranium ROSAT pour fabriquer un spray répulsif pour les mouches et les tiques pour mon cheval. Je m'en sers comme base. Très bon produit naturel et bio en format de 1L qui va me permettre d'en fabriquer pour la saison.
