A floral fruit skewer

Ingredients (for 4 people)

1 pineapple
1 melon
1 tablespoon of rum
2 bananas
2 peaches
2 glasses of cane syrup
2 kiwis
The juice of one lemon
Some geranium hydrosol.

Preparation

Peel the pineapple, remove the eyes and cut into small cubes.
Peel the bananas, kiwis, and peaches.
Cut the bananas into thick slices, the peaches into thick quarters, and the kiwis into half-quarters.
Arrange the pieces of fruit in a deep dish.
Add the lemon juice, rum, and cane syrup.
Cover and leave for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Thread the fruits onto the skewers.
Cook the skewers for 5 minutes on the grill, turning them from time to time.
Drizzle with 1 teaspoon of geranium hydrosol per skewer when serving.

To make homemade cane syrup

Put 80 g of cane sugar, 200 ml of water, a little nutmeg, cinnamon, 1 vanilla pod cut in half, in a saucepan, and cook over low heat to obtain a syrup.

If you wish, you can alternate or combine with fresh fruit skewers by replacing the geranium hydrosol with that of green mint or basil.
