Distillation of the fresh sheet by Essenciagua. Virginia's Hamamelis is also known as the Café du Diable and Hazelni des Voircières. The Amerindians had a traditional use of it which was taken up by the Western settlers. Commission E (German Administration for foodstuffs and drugs), ESCOP and WHO recognize the use of hamais to treat varicose veins and hemorrhoids as well as bruises, sprains, minor wounds and inflammation local skin and mucous membranes. Escop also recognizes virtues for the treatment of the feeling of heaviness in the legs
