Plant of the month Lovage

Decouvrez la distillation Plant of the month Lovage

🌿Herbarium of Essenciagua - La livèche🌿

Lovage is a perennial medicinal plant in the Apiaceae family that grows spontaneously in the Pyrenees. It’s a kind of large wild celery in scent, stature and foliage.

In phytotherapy, lovage is renowned for its draining action on the emunctories (liver, kidneys, skin), promoting the elimination of toxins.

At Essenciagua, we distill the roots of organic lovage of French origin, which contains coumarin, starch, vitamin C and tannin.

🌿 With its Celery flavor, our Lovage hydrolat - more of an aperitif - stimulates the elimination action of the liver and kidneys, helping to naturally purify and revitalize the body.

For an added effect, while favoring the hydrolat’s gentleness, as advised by your health professional, you can add 1 g of Lovagea essential oil to 125 ml, to obtain, by shaking before use, a “reinforced” hydrolat a “nova aroma” synergy cure. ✨
