Cultivated and harvested in regions such as Syria, Turkey, Bulgaria, Morocco, and Russia, these products are obtained from flowers handpicked between May and June, ensuring the extraction of their purest essence.

The Damask Rose hydrosol has always been used in cooking. It is appreciated in Oriental pastries and enhances fresh fruit salads, white cheeses, sorbets, and ice creams. You will surprise your guests by adding a teaspoon of hydrosol to a glass of rose sparkling wine, either as an aperitif or as a dessert accompaniment. More generally, the hydrosol flavors all kinds of drinks, thus acting as a psycho-emotional balancer.

Known and used since the Middle Ages for its medicinal virtues, the Damask Rose is a precious rose reserved for noble uses. The Damask rose bush, a member of the Rosaceae family, resembles the wild rose. Its full, pink flowers are found in Syria, Turkey, Bulgaria, Morocco, Russia, on sandy or rocky soils. At Essenciagua, we work with the Layzangan Distillery in Iran.
The queen of flowers, the Rose embodies perfection and beauty. It exudes a complete and harmonious fragrance. Since antiquity, the Damask Rose is known for its captivating scent, embodying beauty and perfection. The rose harvest must be done by hand according to ancestral know-how. At the height of the season, between May and June, the pickers rise at dawn: the flower must indeed be harvested between five and nine in the morning before the heat makes its delicate essence disappear. It is then distilled within 24 hours so as not to lose its fragrance. The low yield of essential oil from this flower invites its use with delicacy and sparingly. In synergy with other essential oils, it enhances the skin and deliciously perfumes it. It is also combined in blends for emotional purposes. The Damask Rose Hydrosol is not to be outdone, it too is, par excellence, the ally of the skin, of the face.
