Lemon mint

The Plant

Latin Name: Mentha Citrata

Plant part: Aerial Part

Origin: France

Lemon mint, also known as lemon mint or bergamot mint, is a type of mint resulting from hybridization. This mint is the result of a cross between peppermint, characterized by its very strong odor, and water mint, which thrives in very damp soil.
A member of the Lamiaceae family, lemon mint is a hardy perennial with deep, creeping roots, aromatic yellow and green foliage and a sweet, lemony, slightly minty fragrance.
Its high ester content, particularly in linalyl acetate and linalool, makes it particularly useful in aromatherapy and phytotherapy.

What are the benefits of Peppermint?

Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and digestive properties, Peppermint is recommended for relieving bloating and difficult digestion issues. By stimulating the production of bile, it helps to facilitate the digestion process.
Peppermint is also known for its toning and revitalizing virtues, making it a valuable ally against physical fatigue. By adding this plant to your daily routine, you could notice a significant improvement in your digestive well-being and an increase in your energy level.
